Guild Events

Scott Elliott of Maneki Hill Orchids (Ellabell, Georgia) will be our featured speaker this month. Scott's nursery specializes in Catasetum and miniature Cattleya, among many other orchids.  Scott's lecture will be in-person and we welcome him to back to Madison!

April brings one of the Guild's most important and enjoyable fundraisers - Chuck's Curated Orchid Auction!  This will be an opportunity for Guild members to bid on some of the finest orchid species and hybrids available and personally selected by Chuck Acker.

The birds and the bees have spring fever and so do the orchids! This month we will have a program focused on orchid reproduction, flasking, and beyond.  May is also the month of spring cleaning, so we will  have our annual members' silent auction as well.  This is our last formal meeting before summer break.

We will end the Guild's 2024-25 season with our annual members picnic.  Location and Date will be announced in the Newsletter.

The Madison Orchid Growers Guild typically does not meet in July or August as we devote time to summer rest, relaxation, and re-potting!  See you in September and don't forget to water "weakly weekly" during these months of active orchid growth.
